With work in the way, I'm left with about 2 hours every night to work on manips. To challenge myself I'm accepting any type of stock (I've done this before, Meowmistress sent me one before but I haven't got about to it cause it was a small pic, I'm so sorry!!!).

Just make sure it's big enough, preferably more than 500 pixels in width or length, try not to suggest wings (I'll probably need brushes for those), and I'll see what I can do with it. Just reply to this journal with a link to the stock. Once done I'll upload into my gallery and note you back.

Going through the 1000 deviations I have left untouched made me realised one thing:

There's too many of the same kind of thing.

Drawings. Photos. Photo manipulations. Monkey see, monkey do. Only like 5 or so stood out as different. There was this photographer I mentioned as exceptionally talented before, , but it came to my attention that was using the same approach in her photos as well.

Anyway, I haven't been doing any serious work. Just taking stocks and digitally retouching them.

And I'm done with this hell of a job! Customer service/admin work is the last thing you want to do, I've pissed off this customers so bad (about 4 cronies), they took my photo (for god knows what purpose) and complained to the management.

The meaning of life is...

Take the meaning of life as an apple for instance, the same one apple from the supermarket.

But that one apple, encompasses all those values. It is sweet, AND sour, it is soft, AND hard. It has all those values that everyone perceives of it.

All these makes up and defines the apple.

So sweet is just but one property of that apple.

"to Eat" is but only one part of the meaning of life.

Do you have the time? Not just any 5 or 30 minutes of free time, but some good lazing around doing nothing and thinking time. Another cold morning, birds were chirping outside(cliche but true), I was in bed, not wanting to get up.

And for some reason I started thinking about the past. Funny stuffs, really. All this time I've been thinking about the future I didn't realise I don't remember half the things that happened before I turned 19.

So I asked if you have plenty of good lazing around time, well, now rewind back as far as you can. Just let one memory take you to the next and move on slowly....

Let's see... I was probably 3-4 (tried, I can't recall anything earlier), there was this illustrated book with pages like your hard cover books, fully illustrated. Mom's calling, I didn't want to go, I think I read the book 11 times now. It was 6-7 pages long. I couldn't read the words, but the pictures were nice to look at.

So from out of nowhere, mom showed up, took the book from my hands and started caning me. Then she tore the book into half, then into 4. (insanely superhuman strength lol).

Blah, I must have did something wrong again, this time I tried to hide behind the sofa. It was placed against the wall, and I was stupid enough to think I can hide behind it. Nope, I got caught, I'm being caned again.

Mom wasn't that bad. There was this big tree, mom went under it and picked up some injured bird. Now come to think of it she has got magic fingers. Last time I saw the winged creature it was on our window, getting ready to take off. Whoooooooosh. Gone.

There's nothing she can't heal back to health. Ha.

Now it's Sunday dinner out. First time I drank beer! I was 5. My dad wanted to see how I react for the fun of it, his friends were there. I took a sip, didn't like it, they laughed. My mom was pretty disapproving of the act, but that didn't matter though. I went back for a second sip.

Now I'm 8, in a class bathed orange from sunlight. I've just gladly volunteered to draw a horse on the board with 4 other people, and the entire class was cheering. How I got there was a phenomenon itself. See I couldn't understand a word in English, much less understood what the teach was asking for. The hell I didn't even know what a horse is.

I only remembered everyone was raising their hands for something...  and I was a big copycat ><

Post-kindergarden in the primary school was about flirting and bullying the girls. At 8 I was winking at this girl and making her laugh, and everytime she stops I do it again.

Nearing the final half of the entire 6 years it was the other way round. The girls ganged up and I was basically screwed.

Memories from 9-12 are gone, 12-16 was just a few brief encounters in school (very angst), 16-19 was more school, and the fresher memories will be yesterday and this morning. It's 9 A.M now and I'm grinning for no good reason. Mom and the kid she is babysitting just went to school. The door closes, I overhear the kid saying "Give meeeeee!!!"(Gei(2) wo(3)) in mandarin and they're gone.

Now pardon me if I'm smiling away like nothing in the world happened, but that kid and my mom could probably have been some missing memories I can't remember.

1)I've been looking for the meaning/purpose of life. Maybe all these while I should have been looking for the reason of life.

don't think I will be able to perceive the thoughts of those older than me, for Wisdom does come with more experience in the
